Any reasonably modern computer running macOS or Linux. For Mac, that's a MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, or Mac Mini from roughly 2019 or newer. For Linux, most desktops and laptops will work. DoBi needs at least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB or more is recommended for the best experience). It auto-detects your hardware and picks the best model for your machine — if you have a newer Mac or an NVIDIA graphics card, DoBi will use GPU acceleration automatically for faster responses.
DoBi is built on a powerful pre-trained AI model that already understands a wide range of topics. On top of that, it ships with over 20,000 pages of expert survival material spanning water purification, emergency medicine, first aid, foraging and wild plants, food preservation and canning, gardening, hunting and trapping, shelter construction, wilderness survival, navigation, military field operations, knots and ropework, nuclear preparedness, and much more. You can also upload your own PDFs to expand DoBi's knowledge with any reference material you choose.
Three tiers come pre-loaded on the SSD: Full, Mid, and Lite. DoBi automatically selects the best one for your computer, but you can switch between them at any time. The Full model gives the most detailed answers and works best on newer or more powerful machines. The Lite model is lighter and runs well even on older laptops with limited memory.

Your uploaded files are automatically indexed and become part of DoBi's knowledge base immediately — no restart or rebuild needed. Add purchased survival manuals, medical references, field guides, homesteading books, or any other PDF reference material you want DoBi to know about. You can view and remove uploaded files at any time. All processing happens locally on your SSD — your files never leave your machine. Note that DoBi needs text-based PDFs; scanned image-only PDFs without OCR text won't be usable.
Completely. DoBi never connects to the internet. Your questions, conversations, and data never leave your machine. There's no account, no sign-up, and no tracking of any kind.
